Autumn Field Day 1st October
The Autumn Field Day and Seminar was held on the Emerald Plantation at the Lisnevagh Estate Co Carlow.
The event attracted a crowd of nearly a hundred participants and despite the weather conditions it allowed for excellent exchange and interaction over lunch and refreshments.
The Seminar was presented by
Dr Colin Palmer Advisor on Weed & Pest Control Rural Services UK.
Dr Dara O'Shea M. Agr. Sc. Pesticides Registration Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food
Production stands and Exhibitors were on hand
to advise and inform growers
Demonstrations on Harvesting Techniques
And
Tree Marking were presented by the Emerald Group

This Field day is hosted by Poul Copmann and Michael O'Gorman. Poul describes this plantation as an example of what is best and worst about Christmas Tree Growing and he looks forward to sharing his wealth of experience with the membership.
Meeting Point Directions: Coolkenno is between Tullow and Shillelagh (about 5 miles). There is a crossroads with a small petrol station and shop on the main road we should assemble there between 10.30 and 11.00am
